It amazed me how negativity breeds quickly and takes over. My thoughts were so demoralising and it affected the choices I made and more importantly how I felt. I'm still on my #wellness journey but it has shown me the importance of emotional wellbeing. Although life brings its challenges it shouldn't wipe our smiles away or the ability to laugh.
Happiness is a decision we must choose whether or not to pursue. During the week it dawned on me that positive people experience negativity and still choose happy thoughts. I'm going to reveal how I'm making progress and plan to live a happier life. What works for me may not work for you but I'm here to give hope through useful advice.
How to find joy again:
Detox negativity.
You can't sustain happiness if it's not from within. I've found that I feel happy when I gain clarity and I develop my own perspective. In the busy world that we live in it can be hard to hear your own voice. From time to time I personally appreciate 'disconnecting' from social media. I've lost myself before by comparing my life to others...which is the honest truth. Taking time away from social media, allows me to be in tune with myself and my situations. I would encourage that you temporarily distance yourself from whatever makes you feel lost or forget who you are. This will help loosen the grip of what isn't healthy for you and focus on your wellbeing.

Treat yourself with kindness.
I believe happiness is about feeling good about yourself and actions. Therefore it is important that you handle yourself with love and tender care. How you choose to attend to yourself may differ; do what you enjoy be it painting, cooking, meditating etc. I'll give you my example, I've felt insecure about my physical appearance for a while but I'm now determined to nourish my body, do physical exercise and do pamper routines because I deserve it. And take it from me, it is not selfish to attend to your own needs.

Get inspired.
Life becomes so much more meaningful and valuable when you find your purpose. We were all put on this earth for a reason. I want you to read/watch/listen to inspiring people or stories to encourage you to live life to the fullest and with purpose. Then journal your personal aims and objectives in life to hold yourself accountable and serve as a reminder when you forget. Knowing what I want to achieve in life drives me to turn my situation around. You will sure find contentment when you delight in things that align with your goals, morals and ethics.
In summary, you deserve to be happy even if you are at a low point. My words of advice are to make the best of everything for we only live once. Comment down below what makes you happy.
Until next time...Ludel.
