This week I received great news! - filled with so much joy, gratitude and relief. It was quite frankly the opposite of what I should be feeling in a lockdown.
To give you a backstory, I worked so hard to achieve excellent results. The nerves and what if's that haunted me knowing that the outcome was out of my control for two months. The lingering feeling was a bit uncomfortable but this week I felt all that get lifted off my shoulders such a reward. I'm trying to say that sometimes in life you have to give your all and put in the effort BEFORE the wait.

How to find the silver lining:
Reflect
Identifying the worst-case scenario of your situation can help you feel better and more appreciative of your issues. It sounds odd but I feel this tip helps us to complain less and transition into a state of acknowledgement of our situation with a more neutral response.
Shift
Sometimes situations can put us in a bad place (e.g. mentally, emotionally, spiritually etc) which is ok. The key to finding the silver lining however is shifting our perspective. I find that practising gratitude and living more mindfully helps our positive outlook. Some believe that your thoughts-as simple as it is- manifest into reality. Have a little faith that things will get better to see that happen in real life.
Wait
Finding the good out of a 'sticky', bad or complex situation isn't instantaneous. Sometimes we need time to finally see the silver lining. If there is something that you are anticipating or expecting, learn to be patient because what is meant to be will be. Allow life to unfold as scary as it is because most times is pleasantly surprised us.
I hope that whatever situation you find yourself in you are able to see more good in it. Thank you for reading this week's blog. Comment below which tip resonates with you.
Until next time... Ludel.
