Relax to RESET.

A week away from work has done wonders for my #wellness. The temptations to default to work were definitely there BUT I did it. Here's a recap of what I learned and how it helped me to uncover an epiphany that will change you or at least it did me.
I broke down to be quite frank. I was very stressed and stopped enjoying what I was doing. It was then I realised I needed to revisit the concept of 'relaxing' again. So after confiding with a loved one; decided that I needed to log out of work to clear my mind and lift the burden of self-pressure.
Instead of burying my face at work, I read more for leisure, spent more time with family and did things just for fun. It felt very odd but it was liberating to do things for myself- mentally, and emotionally. I realised that in order to actually reset my mind, I needed to relax intentionally. I don't want to burn out like that again because of work or at all really- I will prioritise relaxing more.
Thank you for reading this blog... I appreciate it. I'm going to be taking things much slower, not putting pressure on myself. I highly encourage you to take an extended period of time (more than you usually have) to simply relax and not do work.
