Confidence requires courage!

There are fine lines and levels to the confidence that we all perceive differently. It all comes down to what we define it as. While confidence is not the only trait a person needs, it encourages us to step into opportunities when we have one foot outside the door...

My self-belief has developed further over the years, allowing me to grow without limits. It hasn't been easy but there have been many moments I had to show up for myself which a little confidence helped me to achieve. An example, well this week I braved my self-doubt and fears by releasing my first spoken words track, 'confidence', into the world. I was so nervous, ironically, about whether it was good enough or ready to be published. As I look back I would say that I had some confidence to create this piece (in my bedroom hehe) but I needed courage to release it.

How courage can boost your self-confidence?

Again having courage sets you up with a better mindset to have faith in your ability... in yourself. It becomes easier to have a confident attitude when you don't have a negative, reluctant outlook. Courage is the petrol in the car necessary to even start but confidence is in the person behind the wheels, the driving force to succeed. When you embody the traits of courage, it will help you to build assertiveness. It is both the combination of mindset and attitude that makes you self-assured hence why people have created alter egos/ personas to help them tap into it.

People can listen, comment, like or dislike and it's not in my control - all I could do was let go of my creation. I'm proud of myself for this new found courage and feeling more confident in the positive inspiration it would have on my audience.
